Hobie with barrel body

How Farmer’s Dog Helped Hobie

Hobie is described by our veterinarian as a Lab / Hound mix specifically from his “barrel body”. I chalked it up to him just being fat and fed on kibble his entire life. I used to mix canned wet food with dry kibble and he seemed to like that. Hobie has never been a picky eater… you can pretty much guarantee that anything that hits the floor in the kitchen will be gobbled up in an instant.

When he was around 11 years old, we decided to try Farmer’s Dog, a fresh dog food delivery service. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the food. It’s made with human-grade ingredients, and it’s cooked in small batches. Hobie went BONKERS when he was first introduced to this food. He eats it up every time we put it down for him. We had to get him a puzzle bowl(make a link to suggested puzzle bowls here) to slow him down. I swear he rarely tasted his food before getting this bowl. He would gobble up an entire serving in 2-seconds flat. Now he has to work a bit, which I’m sure helps his stomach from getting too much food too quickly.

We were so glad that we switched Hobie to Farmer’s Dog. It’s a great food that has made a big difference in his life.

Here are some of the benefits of Farmer’s Dog:

  • It’s made with human-grade ingredients.
  • It’s cooked in small batches.
  • It’s tailored to your dog’s individual needs.
  • It’s delivered fresh to your door.

We noticed a BIG difference in his overall appearance and health very soon after giving him Farmer Dog food. He used to stink…like really stink. Almost like that wet dog smell, but without the dampness! His coat became shinier, and although he’s getting quite gray in his old and grumpy days, his coat still looks very healthy looking. We haven’t given him a bath in years! Seriously! No more baths…he just doesn’t stink when eating healthier food! His teeth look great too. He does get a professional cleaning once in a while, and at home brushing occasionally, but overall he just seems much healthier than the earlier days when we brought him home.

If you’re looking for a healthy and convenient way to feed your dog, I highly recommend Farmer’s Dog.
